Tracey and I have done two trips with Breakaway Cycle Tours now and can’t recommend them highly enough. The cycling routes are chosen with consideration for individual circumstances and abilities, enabling us to see the highlights of the region by bike while still being able to enjoy the beautiful towns we stayed in. Apart from being excellent company, Janice and Murray’s hospitality is second to none. Nothing is too much trouble for them, and they know the areas and local businesses well enough to be flexible and solve any problems that arise (like a broken bike in my case). If you want to see some of the most beautiful parts of the world by bike, enjoy the local cuisine and rest up in outstanding accommodation, get out there with Breakaway!

My to TDU holiday with Breakaway Cycle Tours was awesome. From the moment of making the first enquiry through all of the arrangements and arriving in Adelaide, Janice was professional, helpful and enthusiastic. Once in Adelaide the Team were fantastic, Janice, Murray and Annabelle went above and beyond to make sure all of our requirements were met, we had as much or as little riding as we wanted and we could enjoy lots of social fun when we were not riding. Another great benefit of Breakaway tours is the size of the group, it made for a real family feel to the holiday. The whole group had a fantastic time. I would highly recommend Breakaway for a cycling holiday and I am now planning my next one with them, watch out Europe here I come.

2019 my first TDU with Breakaway! I had a fantastic time ! Janice and Murray and their lovely daughter Annabelle were the perfect hosts with everything planned to perfection! So much attention to detail in our rides and taking care of our bikes and willing to change plans to suit our needs when required! Great accommodation and delicious picnic lunches! And so much fun! Great experience- Our children voted it the best family holiday ever! and we have shared a lot of great family holidays in the past. Would definitely recommend non cyclists give it a go, my electric bike was excellent and enabled me to keep up with the game! I’m not exaggerating to say that the French Alps tour with Breakaway Cycle Tours was the highlight of my life on two wheels so far! We were blessed with perfect weather, and the alpine scenery was postcard-perfect everywhere you looked. It was a thrill to test ourselves against some of the cols used in the TdF, and live what felt like the “pro lifestyle” for a few days being looked after off the bike by Janice and Murray. The only downside is that the regular loops and climbs back home will now feel pretty mundane in comparison ... which just means we will have to arrange another Breakaway in the future!

Taking my family on a Breakaway Cycle Tour gave us one of our most memorable holidays . Seeing my sons and daughter taking on and conquering some of the worlds most iconic climbs was particularly gratifying. Thanks to Janice and Murray for a great experience. Louise and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Louise is a cyclist and I’m an ‘off the couch’ cyclist and not afraid to say the thought of this trip had me worried about letting myself and the team down. Janice and Murray tailor made the trip so I could enjoy it too. They sourced an hybrid eBike for me (I called it the ‘Marriage Saver’) so that I didn’t lose the will to live while chasing Louise, Murray and Janice up some of those climbs. If you had told me before the trip that I would ride over 700 kms with 8000+ metres of elevation in 7 days and still have a smile on my face I would have laughed at you. J&M had clearly done their research to ensure that every switch back brought another breathtaking view. I would highly recommend Breakaway Cycle tours to anyone thinking of doing a cycling holiday.

Joining the Breakaway Cycle Team's Tour of Italy and Switzerland was an exceptional experience! Over the course of a week, my family scaled many of the iconic Giro d'Italia climbs and revelled in the breathtaking atmosphere of the Italian and Swiss alps. Everything from the hotel selection to the riding was personalised for our family and was pitch perfect! This amazing experience could not have been accomplished were it not for our exceptional tour hosts -- Janice, Murray and Annabelle -- who happily ensured that we did not have to worry about anything other than cycling and focusing on the amazing scenery surrounding us. I cannot wait for the next Breakaway Cycling adventure!

Thank you to the fantastic Breakaway Team for organising the perfect family celebration for Simon’s birthday. The itinerary worked perfectly and your attention to detail was second to none, so we were all able to focus on enjoying ourselves and making the most of all the cycling and other fun activities you organised for us. The cycling trips were varied and interesting with just the right amount of healthy competition! The wine tastings were excellent - each one different and we learned so much about the different wines of the region. Every meal was carefully selected and delicious.
